JOMA MEDIA LLC (“joma”, “we”, “us”) operates joma.film. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the platform
• To process purchases and deliver film access
• To send transactional emails (receipts, access links)
• To send occasional marketing emails about new releases, platform updates, and curated picks (you can opt out anytime — see below)
• To improve the platform experience

Marketing Communications

joma may occasionally email you about new releases, platform updates, and curator picks. You are opted in by default when you create an account, and you can opt out anytime from your account settings. Every marketing email also includes an unsubscribe link.

Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional emails — receipts, access links, gift redemptions, and account notifications — which we always send.

Information Shared with Filmmakers and Curators

When you purchase or rent a film on joma, we share your name and email address with the filmmaker whose film you purchased. This allows filmmakers to communicate with you about their work and upcoming releases. The filmmaker is the creator of the content you purchased, and this sharing reflects the direct relationship established by your purchase.

If you arrive at joma through a curator’s link or code and make a purchase, we also share your name and email address with that curator. Curators are independent tastemakers who recommend films on joma, and your visit originated from their audience.

Filmmakers and curators who receive your information are required by our terms to use your email only for communications related to their films or curation activity on joma, to comply with all applicable email laws (including providing unsubscribe options), and to never sell or transfer your information to other parties.

You can opt out of receiving marketing emails from filmmakers and curators in your account settings. When you opt out, your email is still shared with the filmmaker (and curator, if attributed) so they can fulfill transactional needs related to your purchase, but your opt-out status is included in the customer data export they receive, and they are required by our terms to honor it. You can also contact us at support@joma.film to request that your data not be shared.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services including Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), and Cloudflare (content delivery). These services have their own privacy policies.
